About the Course: This
course is designed to help participants develop the skills necessary to
become a Certified LoTi Mentor. The emphasis is on the processes underlying
powerful teaching and learning as well as skill development in the areas of
planning effective staff development at the “Target Technology” level,
conducting clinical observations, and delivering efficient instructional
technology professional development. The
Certified LoTi Mentor program is applicable to any content area, grade level,
and/or academic setting. Four overall goals of the course are: (1) to refine
the technology implementation strategies used with staff, (2) to promote
higher levels of technology implementation in the classroom, (3) to create an
effective bridge between instruction, assessment, and technology use, and (4)
to provide a data-driven approach to instructional technology professional
development planning at the building, district, and regional levels. Participation involves: ·
Training and Support o
Participate in o
Choose between 3 consecutive days in the summer ( o
LoTi Project School Leader will provide coaching / reflection / and
support locally through on-site visits, e-mail, video conferencing, or SIG. ·

LoTi Road Show Training Presentation o
ISTE publications for book talk sessions ·
Primary Goal for Participants’ Work o
Develop an action plan and implement using (a) at least two small-group
presentations and (b) subsequent ongoing support in the Fall/Winter 2005
locally, with support from the LoTi Project School Leader. ·
Costs o
Registration fees for this course are waived for successful
applicants. This $400 value includes 3 days of training plus follow-up online
support, session refreshments, and course materials. o
NHDOE through the Enhancing Education through Technology Program
(NCLB Title II-D) competitive funding provides additional funds to centers to
support participant stipends of $500. ·
Certificate and Graduate Credit o
Participants will receive a certificate indicating that they are a
“Certified LoTi Mentor Trainer” if they complete the following:
