NH LoTi Project Schools Program

 

Local Educational Support Centers are now accepting applications for schools desiring to become 2005-06 LoTi Project Schools.

 

Participation involves:

·         Training and Support for Administrators

o        All administrators in your school must commit to participation in one Book Talk Session during 2005-06.

o        LoTi Project School Leader will provide coaching / reflection / and support locally through multi-day on-site visits, as well as through e-mail, video conferencing, and Special Interest Group communications. This support will include the following areas of concern:

    • Loti Results analysis
    • Model lessons demonstration
    • Lesson planning process support
    • Assistance with LoTi observation tool
    • Assistance to school committees, if requested, such as Technology Committee, Professional Development Team, Administrators, School Board Members, etc.

·         Training and Support for LoTi Mentors

o        At least one faculty member from your school participates as a LoTi mentor in the 3 day mentor training program on LoTi Levels, Differentiated Instruction, and Higher Order Level Thinking Skills. (Refer to LoTi Mentor Certificate Program for details)

·         Costs

o        Participating school pays $0.00

o        NHDOE and Centers support schools through the NCLB Title II-D competitive grant process through sub-grants to cover costs associated with Project School events and materials.

 

School Participation Criteria:

  • At least one teacher from the Project School must be enrolled in the LoTi Mentor Certificate Program.
  • Administrators must commit to active participation in a project evaluation process.
  • Administrators must commit to supporting school-wide development of standards based and/or GLE based lessons with technology integration.

Interested? Principals should send a letter of interest by May 20, 2005 to your local center. Space is limited. The final list of participating schools (up to 6) will be determined based on commitment, school need, and distribution across each center region.
