This catalyst grant was funded by the US Department of Education under the Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to use Technology program (PT3).
"Project New TEACHERS" is a statewide consortium which has involved more than 40 partner institutions, including the teacher certification programs at New Hampshire's higher education institutions and several PreK-12 schools. The project provides resources for extensive restructuring activities that will result in new teachers being better prepared to use technology in the classroom.
The project began in June 2000 and will extend through May 2004.
This project will receive $2,100,678 from the U.S. Department of Education, which is 28% of the total cost of the project. Seventy-two percent ($5,459,236) of the total cost of the project will be financed by non-governmental sources.
