NHSTE Super Thursdays: One Computer to Alaska
NHPTV Classroom (Durham) will be the host site for broadcast to
the GSDLN sites.
Presented by two teachers - Jaci Gagne (formerly Allentown) and

you will review working Internet sites and will take home teacher
prepared materials for the Iditarod experience.
A Year With Miss Agnes by Kirkpatrick Hill, about Alaska in 1948,

Learning Objects.A collection of link, presentations
and publications about learning objects, the SCORM and the Advanced
Learning Initiative. "A new model for digital learning--one
in which learning content is free from proprietary "containers,"
can flow among different systems and be mixed, reused, and updated
continuously--is inching closer to reality. At the center of this
new model is the learning object, the modular building block that
allows such a dynamic approach to managing e-learning content",
explains Tom Barron in his article about learning objects.

selection and adoption, design issues, methods and strategies to
increase interactivity and active learning, learner characteristics,
learner support, operational issues, policy and management issues,
equity and accessibility, and cost/benefit tradeoffs. It is intended
