All K12.NH.US domain records are maintained by the Department of Informational Technology at the State of New Hampshire. To establish a K12.NH.US domain for your district and/or SAU or to make a change to your existing records, domain information should be sent to the NHDOE New Hampshire Educational Technology.  If your information cannot be verified,  the superintendent or headmaster will be contacted to verify that the persons named are authorized to establish and maintain the domain.  Verified information will be sent to the NH Department of Information Technology (DoIT) for completion.  Please do not submit directly to DoIT.  They cannot accept direct requests from schools or districts.

Administrative Contact

The administrative contact must be an official of the SAU, district or private school. Superintendents, district technology coordinators, SAU staff or headmasters are appropriate administrative contacts. This person will be the contact for policy issues. Both the administrative and technical contacts should be people who can be reached throughout the year, not just while school is in session. If necessary, provide alternate contacts or special instructions. It is recommended that the two contacts provided not be the same person. Provide current email addresses where contacts may be reached.

Technical Contact

The technical contact must be the district staff person or contracted provider responsible for ensuring that domain records are maintained and technical problems are resolved. This person may or may not maintain the records herself. If a service provider or other person will maintain the domain and if you prefer that this other person be the first contact for technical issues, please provide both names and describe the situation in the Special Instructions section.

Primary and Secondary Servers

One primary server name and a minimum of one secondary server name are required. Additional secondaries are encouraged. Two of the servers must be on different subnets and in different physical locations. When selecting secondary servers consider how these hosts are connected to the Internet. Servers which are connected through different top level and second level access providers are less likely to be affected by the same network outage.

Supply the IP Address

Supply the IP address of a server ONLY if that server will be within the domain which is being registered. If the server will be outside the district domain IP address, "glue" records will not be used.
