Sites to host ICT Literacy Sessions
All of the New Hampshire School Minimum Standards were updated and became effective
July 1, 2005, including the ICT Literacy Standards (formerly Computer Literacy).
The ideal ICT Literacy Program weaves technology experiences into all content
areas and all grade levels and supports students in building digital portfolios
of their work. In January 2006, Local Educational Support Centers
began offering the first of a series of ICT information and assistance sessions
to create a consensus of thought and action around the new ICT Literacy Standards. Check out
the dates below for upcoming sessions.

ICT Literacy Summer Institute 2006
At this state-wide ICT Literacy Institute,
work products from each of the spring ICT sessions will inform the
development
of common tools. Sample portfolio-assessment rubrics, samples of digital
artifacts within student portfolios, and samples of how student portfolios
can be organized and formatted will be developed at this institute.
Final work products will be posted to the web, so that all NH districts
may view and download common tools that they deem appropriate to
meeting their district ICT Literacy Program needs.

NHDOE and the Local Educational Support
Center Network will co-sponsor an ICT Summer Institute on July 17,

at spring ICT Assistance Workshops across the state and focus on developing
sample assessment rubrics, digital portfolio recommendations, and related
materials that could be adopted and/or adapted by any NH district for
their ICT Literacy Programs. Priority in attending will be given to participants
from high need schools and districts. Contact your nearest Support
